2023 KWHA: Rukayat Shittu is God’s Project and we are ready to support God, says Okeweru/Yowere II Constituents
As the 2023 general election is fast approaching, the constituents of Okeweru/Yowere II in Owode Onire Constituency has said that their candidate for the constituency, Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu is a God’s project and they are ready to support what God has blessed them with.
The statement was collectively made by the people yesterday in Bakasse, when Rukayat attended the Okewere/Yowere II APC ward meeting.
Rukayat was described as a real daughter of the soil, whose parents are farmers, and who knows where the shoe pinches her people.
Speaking at the meeting, the APC Chairman of Okeweru/Yowere II ward, Faruq Moshood Olayinka vowed to deliver all APC Candidates in Kwara Central with the support of elders, women, and youths in the ward.
He said the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has brought immense development to the area, in terms of water, access road, schools, electricity, and many other infrastructural projects.
Alhaji Alfa, who spoke on behalf of elders in the ward affirmed their commitment to God’s project. He noted that Rukayat, being a young person to contest for such a position in the State indicates that there is a future in APC and Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration.
The APC Candidate for Owode Onire Constituency, Rukayat Shittu appreciated the people for their warm gesture and pledged to be a true representative of the constituency.
She noted that, if emerges as the representative for Owode Onire Constituency by the grace of God and the support of the people, her activities won’t be only about making laws, facilitating government projects, and overseeing government projects but it will also be about mentoring and empowering young people like her with the necessary information and tools to also participate in the decision making space.
