Adamawa APC Chairman removed, replaced by Deputy
The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have sacked the party chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal.
The reports learned that 25 members of the state executive committee of the APC impeached Bilal on Monday.
Bilal’s deputy, Samaila Tadawas, was immediately sworn in as the acting chairman.
A petition orchestrated by the party’s organising Secretary, Mustapha Ribadu, had called for Bilal’s sack.
This newspaper understands that the plot against Bilal is the fallout of the party’s governorship primary election in the state held in May, whereby some aspirants, perceived to have lost the primary election, are still hoping that there will be a re-run and the party’s chairman loyalty is under question.
However, officially, they cited “gross abuse, corruption, and dereliction of duty” for their opposition.
