APC List Conditions LP’s Peter Obi Must Fulfill Before Debate With Bola Tinubu
The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has listed conditions the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, must fulfill before APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu will be able to debate with him.
While speaking, the spokesperson for APC Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, noted that Peter Obi should first of all present his manifesto to Nigerians. Secondly he urged Peter Obi to list his achievements when he was the Governor of Anambra State, Independent Newspaper reported.
Furthermore, he urged Peter Obi to tell Nigerians people he has mentored in politics who are still with him today and also mention any political party he has formed.
In addition, he urged Obi to mention his contributions to the return of democracy to Nigeria after years of military rule. He noted that when these conditions are fulfilled, the APC will then send one of its spokespersons to have an open debate with Peter Obi.
He said: “They have no manifesto, so what are we debating? What documents are we comparing? He said Nigerians should depend on what is inside his brain, not on any document…….Before Obi can stand shoulder to shoulder with Asiwaju to debate, he should first release a manifesto for scrutiny, then he should list his tangible achievements as Governor of Anambra State compared to the tangible achievements of Asiwaju as Governor of Lagos State…… After all these, we shall send them one of our spokespersons to debate with him.”
It should be recalled that the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is yet to attend any Presidential debate, ahead of the next year’s presidential election.
