Arteta confirms Premier League trophy will be at Emirates on final Match day

The Premier League trophy will be present at the Emirates on Sunday when Arsenal hosts Everton in their last game, as announced by manager Mikel Arteta.

In the event that Manchester City loses against West Ham at home, the Gunners have a remote chance of taking home the championship that day.

Arteta remains optimistic that his team can win on the last day of the season, even though he was disappointed to watch City defeat Tottenham to take the top spot.

“This is the nice part, fighting for the title until the last day,” Arteta said in a statement to the Spanish media.

“It will be the first time since the Emirates was constructed that the Premier League trophy is sitting there, with red ribbons on it, because if we win and they don’t, it’s ours.”
