ASKOMP Appreciates Members’ Commitment, Lift Ban Govt, Police Coverage

The Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP) has applauded the dedication, commitment and support of members during the #FreeAkoguns Advocacy.

ASKOMP in a statement issued on Saturday by its Chairman, Shola Salihu Taofeek, expressed appreciation to other Kwarans and media groups that joined the voice against intimidation and harassment of Abdulrasheed Akogun and Dare Akogun.

The Association therefore lifts ban placed on Kwara State Government and Kwara State Police Command during the crisis.

ASKOMP says the association will continue to provide support for Abdulrasheed Akogun and his brother, Dare Akogun during the ongoing legal process on allegation of defamation of character raised against them by the Chief Press Secretary to Kwara Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye.

ASKOMP also awaits Police action on petition submitted against four people including Kwara State Governor’s Aide that defamed the prestigious association.
