Atiku’s campaigners are attacked by Wike for tying him to violence in Rivers
The governor of Rivers, Nyesom Wike, criticized several PDP officials who were in Rivers State to support the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The governor criticized Atiku’s supporters for linking him to political violence, including Lee Maeba, Austine Opara, and Abiye Sekibo.
The Governor, who insisted that politics should be conducted honorably, claimed that during his whole political career, he never used violence as a tool to further his political objectives.
According to a statement by his Special Assistant for Media, Kelvin Ebiri, Wike spoke on Saturday at Koniju Ama in the Okrika Local Government Area when he opened the Okrika Founder’s Park.
Senator Lee Maeba, who “is still involved in politics of violence,” according to Wike, should not be accusing him of violence.
