Audio: Ganduje cautions public on mischievous, misleading publicity

The story that has been circulated by social media and online publications in the nation about a phone conversation between Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Ibrahim Kabiru Masari regarding his political relationship with President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been characterized as malicious by the Kano State Government.

Malam Muhammad Garba, the state’s commissioner for information and internal affairs, claimed in a statement released on Saturday that the overblown publicity surrounding the alleged audio clip was the result of paid agents attempting to discredit the supposed “conversation” in order to sour relations between the two political gladiators.

He explained that, based on all signs, certain persons are determined to take advantage of the long-standing friendship between Tinubu, Ganduje, and Masari.

The governor and the President-elect, according to Malam Garba, have since realized that a malicious attempt was made to sour their relationship. He further asserted that they would not allow this good working relationship, which has been growing stronger, particularly at this crucial time, to be destroyed by some self-centered people.

The commissioner urged APC members and the general public to reject such attempts, maintain composure, and show their allegiance to the party in order to ensure the successful inauguration of the President-elect.
