Breaking: Appeals court upholds ruling disqualifying Rivers APC candidates from the 2023 elections
A Federal High Court ruling that prohibited all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates from standing in the State’s general elections in 2023 was overturned on Thursday by the Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The Federal High Court, presided over by Hon. Justice Emmanuel Obile, ruled in a case brought by George Orlu and four others against the APC, holding that the party did not follow due process when choosing the delegates who cast their ballots for the candidates during the party’s primary elections.
