BREAKING: INEC declares Saliu Mustapha as winner of Kwara central senatorial seat

The Independent National Electoral Commission has proclaimed Mallam Saliu Mustapha of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the victor of the Kwara Central senatorial race.

To overcome his nearest rival Bolaji Abdullahi of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mustapha received 109,823 votes (PDP)

The Turaki of Ilorin claimed victory in all four local government areas in the senatorial district, defeating the PDP candidate by a margin of 40,675 votes.

Bolaji Abdullahi, meantime, received 69,148 votes in total to place second, and Dr. Ridwan Apaokagi of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) finished in a distant third place in the election on February 25.
