Buhari will support Tinubu and others in 2023 – Presidency

The Presidency announced on Wednesday that, in front of the February 2023 elections, President Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret.) was prepared to campaign for Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates with “full enthusiasm and conviction.”
This is in response to complaints in some circles that the President has not participated in political campaigns since the national launch in Jos, Plateau State, in mid-November.
The President’s powers and obligations, according to the Presidency, would take precedence even while Buhari continues to be dedicated to party politics.
President Buhari is prepared to campaign for Tinubu and other APC candidates with vigor and conviction, according to a statement released on Wednesday by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.
The President “assures the All Progressives Congress and its candidates in the elections next year that he is always ready to campaign for the Presidential Candidate and all party candidates with “full enthusiasm and conviction,”” Shehu claims.
This is to allay worries that have been voiced in some quarters over the President’s absence from campaigns since the national launch in Jos, Plateau State, and to emphasize that, despite his continued commitment to party politics, the President’s powers and duties would occasionally be upheld.
The Presidency stated that Buhari “is ready to campaign for the party’s triumph in the general elections next year,” citing the President’s speech to the Nigerian community in Washington, DC during his most recent visit to the United States.
The President remarked that the APC campaigns have been the most vigorous in recent memory up until this point.
In contrast to the opposition, who appears to be playing catch-up, “They have been impressive and of a high voltage. According to the statement, “He expressed high optimism that the party will win all the elections fairly and without controversy.”
