Church Set Ablaze As Traditional Worshippers And Church Members Clashed In Ogun
There was tension in the residents of the Almaroof bus stop area of Agbado, Ogun State, yesterday as the traditional worshippers of the area clashed with the white-garment church members in the area.
It was learnt that this clash led to the loss of property while many people, mostly church members, sustained injuries.
According to the Vanguard newspaper, the vigil of this white garment church coincided with the routine rituals of these traditional worshippers, and one needed to stop worshipping for the other.
Instead of stepping down for one another, both groups refused to stop their services, which later led to the clash between the traditional worshippers and the church members.
It was learnt that the traditional worshippers allegedly set the church ablaze. One of the people that got injured was a woman who got burnt and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
The incident also rendered a 15-year-old girl named Abisoye Oyinkansola Adekoya, who was living in the church after losing her parents some years ago.
