Confederation Cup: Wasteful Rivers United claim slim win over USM Alger

On Sunday, Augustine Ojekepha emerged victorious as Rivers United defeated USM Alger, an Algerian club, by a narrow 1-0 margin in the first leg of their quarterfinal CAF Confederation Cup match in Uyo.
In the tenth minute of the match, Okejepha scored the game-winner.
USM Alger hardly really got a foothold in the game because of their inability to handle the severe weather in Uyo.
With better aim, Rivers United may have increased the margin of victory.
The rematch will take place on Sunday of next week in Algiers.
The goal for Stanley Eguma’s team is to win the CAF Confederation Cup and become the first Nigerian club to do it.
