DPMs to take charge as KWSIEC issues LG election date

Kwara State’s sixteen local government districts will be governed by Directors of Personnel Management (DPM) until a new election is conducted in September.

In essence, this dissolves the Transition Implementation Committees (TICs) that were previously designated to oversee the councils as they awaited fresh elections for local administration.

The next local council election has been scheduled for September 21, 2024 by the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC), and this development comes just days after that announcement.
