Driver, passenger in critical condition as car crashes into broken down caterpillar on Lagos highway

It was sheer Providence that saved the driver and passenger in a car on Friday, November 4, when the car crashed into a broken down caterpillar on the Third Mainland Bridge, as they sustained injuries and were rushed to a hospital.
The incident occurred around 8:42 a.m. at Adekunle inward Iyana Oworo on the Third Mainland Bridge when the driver of the car who did not see the broken down caterpillar on time crashed into it.
As a result of the impact of the crash, the driver and the passenger sustained various degrees of injuries and were said to have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment while the car had its entire from part damaged.
The incident was announced by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on its Twitter handle on Friday which added that the incident caused traffic bottleneck which extended towards Adeniji end of the bridge.
As at the time of writing this article, efforts are being made by traffic officials to remove the vehicle and caterpillar from the road for a better traffic flow.
