For the umpteenth time, Kwara Bakers increase price

The price of bread has increased in the past few years with over 70percent and it has even become a norm in Kwara State(Bread price increase frequently) .

The reason for increase in price as stated by Kwara Baker’s Association is due to escalated increase in costs of ingredients (flour,sugars,eggs,butter etc ), electricity and transportation.

The Baker’s Association led by Alhaji Abdulfatai Alaba, (ALABA BREAD) came to conclusion with other bakers and agreed to increase the bread price. Bread worth #500 is now #600 which is the biggest one and the increase has also affected other sizes and range of bread.

Bread price has increased for more than three times this year, whereas consumers see the increase in price as greed and noted that the increase in price doesn’t reflect in the size and that rather, the size reduces.

The association of Kwara State Bakers later pleaded with the consumers that they should agree with the new price and keep patronizing them, that the price hike will only be for a while and they price may later be returned to the previous state before it was increased.

The consumers however find this difficult to believe because it’s not the first time such claim will be made and nothing happened.
