Naija News reported that the Wike Group, consisting of the Governors of Enugu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi; Benue, Samuel Ortom; Oyo, Seyi Makinde; and Abia, Okezie Ikpeazu, insisted that the country’s president, Iyorchia Ayu, must be replaced by a Southerner before he could participate in the PDP’s presidential campaign.
Atiku, according to a senior source, is under heavy pressure to be unable to submit to their demands as tensions grow among PDP leaders over the continuing crisis within the opposition party.
