Inauguration ceremony of newly appointed provost of college of nursing oke-ode Alhaji Abdulqaudir lamidi Olarewaju

Earlier today our lens was covered the inauguration ceremony of the newly appointed provost of kwara State college of Nursing Science, Oke-Ode. In where by the event was graced by the honourable commissioner of tertiary education Dr, Afeez Abolore, Secretary of MOTEM Hajia monsurat Amuda Kannike and other dignitaries.

In a welcome speech delivered by the Chairperson Governing Council, Kwara state college of Nursing Science Oke-Ode. “I welcome all and sundry to this event, a history making one for that matter. Frankly, I am the happiest person at today’s occasion because it is in my reign that this epoch making event is happening.

A new provost has been appointed to stair the affairs of the college. If you would agree with me, the appointment is timely because it is only a Substantive Provost that can fast-track the required developments of institution. And then, an experienced person with the requisite vision and of course the mission of facilitating speedy growth of our dear college has been given to us”.

She further conveyed her enthusiasm to the podium by stated thus: ” Without any reservation, I on behalf of the Governing Council Thank His Excellency, the Governor of kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for the approval of the appointment of the new provost, Alhaji Olarewaju Quadri. His Excellency deserves all appreciations for the appointment because our mother association, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) interacts more cordially with nursing institutions that have substantive provosts. This is the more reason why I am excited that our college has a head that will be statutorily accountable for all the developments in the college”… Said the Chairperson.

On the same vain, the Chairperson Governing Council of the college didn’t left behind to give an encomium and equally shown her profound appreciation to the Honorable Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Alabi Afeez Abalore for his leadership role in the selection process of the new Provost. Your guide, insistence and directive on the need to describe the most qualified, experienced, competent candidate to be in charge of the college administration have been tremendously helpful in the emergence of the Olarewaju Quadri as the third substantive provost of our institution.

Had it been, when kwara state was in the hands of avaricious leader of the money-dig politicians, Oke-Ode would not have been so lucky to have such a charismatic provost as this.

Furthermore, the tremendous act of the Hon. Commissioner of tertiary education can never be overemphasized by emulating the spirit of transparence, qualitative approach of the needs of kwarans vision and optimism of beer care. The whole Oke-Ode community believes in the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq and they will be ready to see the legacy continuation in coming 2023.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have to, at this point, acknowledge His Excellency for the release of funds to the college, for the completion of the hostel. However, there are infrastructures that are yet to be completed on ground in the clear out appeal is channeled to the commissioner to aid as usual to see to the completion of the hostel facility under construction, ICT Centre and library, these faceless are crucial to the running of the college programmes and could reduce of our re-accreditation, if not provided before the Nursing and Midwifery zonal re-accreditation exercise. I know the Honorable Commissioner would use his office to ensure the completion of the facilities soon.

Conclusively, we remember an individuals who have made impacts, suggestions and contributions to the establishment of the college and the progress it has been recorded so far. The late Elesa of Oke-Ode is remembered and prayed for today. We cannot hurriedly forget his impact in the struggle for sitting at the prominence in Oke-Ode. We also pray for the soul of the late Provost, Mrs. Ibrahim Monirat Michael, whose her impacts were beyond measure.

In the same direction, we equally accolades the then permanent Secretary Ministry of Tertiary Education Hajia Bola Alaya who emphasized that the best candidate must be selected without any prejudices, but died before the exercise was being completed. May the souls of all our heroes rest in perfect peace. Wishing the new provost a successful tenure… She prayed.

Also, the inaugural speech was divulged to the humble audience and invitees by the newly appointed Provost, Alhaji Olarewaju Quadri. Who firstly extolled the excellently efforts of Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq for his thoughtfulness of his appointment to be the provost of the college.
“It is not surprise to me that I have been given this opportunity, it just that only quality leader knows where he can find his equals, the charismatic leadership of His Excellency has founded me to stare the affairs of state college of Nursing Oke-Ode.

Alhaji Olarewaju Quadri promised to do everything possible in tendency to record tremendously achievements in the college.

He also acknowledged the presence of Dr. Alabi and his contributions during process.
He proclaimed all his achievements and the contributions towards the limestone of the college and to exalt above the mother colleges.

The newly appointed provost appreciated all the quest of honoured and the humble invitees as they grace the occasion and make the day memorable one for him. He beseech Allah to continue do his indefinite favour to everyone’s life. And be seeing such a beautiful landmark in all ramifications.
