JAMB announces the dates for the form sales for the 2023 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced the dates for the form sales, the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and other major operations in 2023 at the conclusion of its management meeting on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
According to the Newscrescent, The Board has given its approval for registration to begin for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on January 14 and run through February 14 of that same year. However, as the Direct Entry (DE) registration would start on Monday, 20 February, and end on Thursday, 20 April 2022, this does not include registration for Direct Entry (DE) application documents.
The Board also set Thursday, March 16, 2023, as the day for the optional mock UTME.
In order to avoid a scenario where candidates express interest in taking the mock-UTME, causing the various centers to commit human and material resources, only for them to not show up on the day of the examination, candidates are to note that they would be required to pay the sum of N1,000 service charge for CBT centers for the conduct of mock examination at the point of registration.
The centers won’t suffer any loss whether candidates show up or not under the new approach where candidates declare their interest by paying for the mock at the stage of UTME registration.
Additionally, the Board set Saturday, April 29, 2023, for the conduct of the 2023 UTME, which is anticipated to end on Monday, May 12, 2023, after taking into account its other obligations.
The Board recommends all applicants who want to sign up for the 2023 UTME to start creating their individual profiles as soon as possible (creation of profile code) before the official start of the registration process to prevent getting trapped in any ensuing congestion.
