Joshua outjabs Franklin to claim winning return

At the O2 Arena in London on Saturday night, Anthony Joshua defeated Jermaine Franklin by unanimous decision. This win was crucial for the former champion’s future development.

Former champion Anthony Joshua was seeking for his first victory since 2020 against Jermaine Franklin in London after suffering a heartbreaking loss in his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk the previous year.

He had to defeat the difficult American, and he did so by winning by scores of 118–111 and 117–111 twice.

Franklin is a tough American heavyweight who had 22 competitive fights under his belt before his November majority decision loss to Dillian Whyte.

Even though this was Joshua’s first match without at least one world championship on the line in seven years, it was still one of the most significant matches of his career. The outcome would decide his career’s future course.
