JUST IN: CAF announces final judgement on Libya-Nigeria AFCON Qualifier
Nigeria received three goals and three points from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the game that was missed against Libya.
The move follows CAF President Patrice Motsepe’s announcement that a comprehensive investigation was underway in the wake of the recent issue surrounding Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match versus Libya.
According to Motsepe, the continental organization would not put up with unjust behavior or a lack of sportsmanship in African football.
The Libyan Football Federation was additionally penalized by the Confederation of African Football’s Disciplinary Board for the Super Eagles’ hardship.
