JUST IN: President Tinubu’s Spokesman Ajuri Ngelale Steps down Gives Reason

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, has resigned from his position as President Bola Tinubu’s principal spokesperson.

This is stated in a letter he sent on Friday to the President’s Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.

Ajuri gave a speech on his choice, saying, “I filed a memo to the President’s Chief of Staff on Friday, alerting my office that I am proceeding on an indefinite leave of absence to confront medical issues that are currently hurting my immediate, nuclear family.

Even though I understand that the state never stops, I had to make the difficult decision to pause my duties as the President’s official spokesperson, Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action, and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen. My family and I had extensive discussions over the past few days as a difficult medical situation at home has gotten worse.

I’m eager to resume my full-time national service when circumstances, healing, and time allow. I humbly request that my family and I have some privacy during this time. Ajuri filed an appeal.
