Kwara 2023: Saraki, PDP Bigwigs Storm Mandate Hall for Inauguration of Campaign Council
The leadership of People Democratic Party (PDP) in kwara State on Thursday stormed Mandate Hall, Olorunsogo area, ILORIN for inauguration of Unified Campaign Council.
Newscrescent reports that the unified campaign council list comprises 800 members including elders, vibrant youths, women and new decampees.
The inauguration had in attendance Former Senate Presidente, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Kwara State Chairman of the party, Mall. Babatunde Mohammed, PDP Governorship candidate, Alhaji Yaman Shuaib Abdullahi, Kwara central Senatorial candidate, Mall. Bolaji Abdullahi, Director General of campaign council PDP, former Speaker, Hon. Ali Ahmad, Hon. Abubakar Haruna Keriya-babu, Hon. Agbo-ola, Hon. Atolagbe Alege, Hon. Dare Bankole and all PDP Candidates
In his opening remarks, Kwara PDP Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Mohammed appreciated the massive turn out of the people in the struggle to unseat this present administration ahead 2023 elections.
According to him, the instructions had come from national level that everyone should go back to their various local government and poling units to work vigorously to the emergence of PDP in coming elections.
He said: “it is the time we liberate ourselves from the bad governance and mischievous leaders in the state and country at large.”
The Chairman of the party also buttressed that, the mistake in which PDP party did in the last election (2019) had served as a lesson for everyone, which giant measures have been put in place to not repeat such again in coming elections.
The Director General of PDP campaign council, prof. Ali Ahmad also reiterated that, the situation of the state is very appalling and ungodly as many people suffering and clamouring for hunger which had filled the life of people in the state and this was not happen during the administration of PDP, but now reverse is the case.
Dr. Bukola Saraki implored party faithfuls to mobilise support for all PDP candidates from President to House of Assembly.
” I reassure you that everybody would benefit from the party after our emergence in 2023 by God’s grace there would be inclusiveness in PDP government both youths and women”. Saraki said.
” I can be friend and give an audience to only those that won their Poling Unit on the day of elections. Hence, everybody should go and work tiredly to win each Poling Unit and have a good response from me” he concluded.
“I pray God to give you members of the campaign council the strength to deliver. Millions of people are relying on you. We should all know that every member of the party is a member of the campaign council. I want to assure you that every member would get deserving benefits for work done to win in each polling Unit. Go and deliver your booths and leave the rest for God and me.
“Every day now, we’re hearing revelations. They are saying oga did Offa robbery, alhamdulillah, we’re here today. They say oga carry allocation, we’re still here, everyone can see how the allocation is being manipulated. They said OGA brought plane, and I’m still bringing plane. This is your time to rewrite history, especially you the youth. Let’s vote for a party that cares for the people and vote for PDP and all its candidates in the 2023 general elections”
“Start house-to-house, door -to door, room-to-room, the place-to-place campaign because everybody is important.” Dr Bukola Saraki noted .
