Kwara Central: Office of the Special Technical Advisor to Senator Saliu Mustapha to provide capacity building for leaders of development associations

The leaders of the Kwara Central youth development associations are scheduled to take part in a two-day mentorship program designed to increase the youth’s capacity for district-wide community development.

The program on skill development, entrepreneurship, and job creation, organized by Mallam Nasir Abdulqyadri, the Office of the Special Technical Adviser to Senator Saliu Mustapha, would be held in several batches. It is non-pecuniary, he added.

The organizers claimed that the purpose of the batch structure is to maximize the benefits of the opportunity for each of the four local government areas’ youth leaders.

A letter of invitation endorsed by Mallam Nasir Abdulquadri, the Technical Adviser, states that the first session would take place in the state capital of Kwara, Ilorin, on November 13 and 14.

The workshop is intended for association presidents and executives, according to Abdulquadri.

The letter to the development associations stated, “The training, which is strictly for the executives of participating associations, is aimed at improving the development in Kwara Central through capacity building and intellectual enhancement of the leaders of youth-focused organizations and groups such as yours.”

Abdulquadir emphasized once more how crucial it is to develop community capacity in order to promote constructive change in the district. He stated that topics like security, communications, community relations, mentoring, needs assessment, and so on are anticipated to be heavily discussed.
