Kwara Commissioner for Education Visits Schools in Kwara South, Encourages Parental Involvement


Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, Kwara State’s Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, recently undertook a supervisory visit to schools in the Kwara South Senatorial District. The visit aimed to assess progress, celebrate achievements, and promote parental involvement in education.

Commissioner Kawu commended schools and students who excelled in the recent JAMB exams during her visit to institutions in Irepodun, Offa, and Oyun Local Government Areas (LGAs). She witnessed the ongoing 2024 May/June Examinations firsthand, offering words of encouragement and wishing students success. Additionally, she reviewed the implementation of the KwaraLearn program in public primary schools, engaging with teachers and students to gauge its effectiveness in enhancing learning.

Expressing gratitude for Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq’s dedication to improving Kwara’s education sector, Hajia Sa’adatu highlighted the critical role parents play in their children’s academic journey. This emphasis came during a meeting with Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) members at St. Paul LGEA School in Omu-Aran. She acknowledged that parental involvement is a vital ingredient in a child’s educational success.

The visit concluded with an outpouring of appreciation from parents, teachers, and students. They commended both Governor AbdulRazaq and Commissioner Kawu for their unwavering commitment to advancing education in Kwara State and expressed well wishes for their continued success in this endeavor.
