Kwara State making strategic business moves in Solid Minerals Sector

Honourable Commissioner at the State House Conference Abuja for the African Natural Resources & Energy Investment Summit 2024.

Earlier today, Kwara State joins other participating States, the Honourable Minister for Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake and his counterparts in Nigeria and from other African countries, foreign and local private investors as well as other captains of industry at the ongoing 3-day African Natural Resources & Energy Investment Summit taking place at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

The Kwara State Honourable Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Afees Abolore ALABI is currently attending the said Summit at the instance of the Kwara State Government. The Commissioner was privileged to be called upon to deliver a purposeful goodwill message to the admiration of important dignitaries, guests and other participants at the Summit with the theme: Leveraging Natural Resources for Economic Growth.

The Government of Kwara State seized the opportunity of its attendance to create and establish some strategic business networking for possible local and foreign investment attractions into the State. The Honourable Commissioner filled in this report at the end of the Wednesday session while thanking His Excellency-Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq (CON) and the Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum for all the positive turnaround in the governance and administration of Kwara State that is ensuring our global visibility among the comity of states in Nigeria.

The Summit was declared opened by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria HE Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) who was ably represented by the Vice President HE Kashim Shettima (GCON), the welcome address was presented by the Chief Host Dr. Dele Alake, Honourable Minister for Solid Minerals, Some Ministerial Keynote addresses were delivered; there was a panel session and official opening of the Exhibition, Tour and official AFNIS Picture Ceremony amongst other programmes lined up for the day.
