KWSG Inaugurates Innovation Working Group
The Kwara State Government has inaugurated an Innovation working group to gear up the aim of this present administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State in transforming Kwara State into an economically viable and self-sustainable State via digital literacy, youth empowerment, inovation and technology.
The State Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Honourable Ibrahim Akaje who is the Chairman of the Working Group stated at the inauguration, that the main assignment of the group is to facilitate the digital transformation agenda of the State Government, accelerate the growth of innovation and technology in Kwara State, and encourage the youth in the State to gain skills needed for the modern global workforce and fit for the future of work.
Akaje reiterated that the structural arrangement of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology lies on business activities, boosting trade, creativity, innovation, and technology to improve revenue in the state and assure the people of Kwara State of this administration continuous investments on things that bring ease to them.
He further disclosed that the State Government is doing all things possible in harnessing its resources to provide an enabling environment to attract local and foreign investors.
The Commissioner then charged the Group to start thinking for our coming generation in Kwara State and the Nation at large because the group is the bedrock of Innovative minds in the State.
Similarly, the Group Secretary, Ajani Adedeji Hammed on behalf of the group commended the State Government for bringing such high-level, cross-sectoral, and diverse young innovators together to drive the digital transformation agenda for the State. He assured Government that the group will discharge their duties in line with global best practices while considering the local characteristics.
Mr Ajani then assured the good people of Kwara that in the coming days, the Group will unveil the Kwara Skillup Roadmap to activate the ecosystem and generate values for all stakeholders.
