Lagos Robber Lynched, Okada Rider Killed in Crash

An enraged mob has lynched a suspected armed robber for reportedly robbing a unisex salon on Governors Road in the Ikotun neighborhood of Lagos State.

According to Newscrescent, the suspect was a member of a three-man gang that broke into the salon around 11 a.m. on Saturday and took both the staff members’ and clients’ valuables.

Residents pursued the hoodlums as they fled the neighborhood when the victims called for help.

The bandits fired into the air to frighten the gathering throng, according to a local named Felix Olayiwola who spoke with our correspondent on Monday.

He stated, “When I noticed individuals racing towards the area and claiming that a robbery was taking place there, I was washing my car near to the scene of the crime.

“I heard a gunshot all of a sudden. At the White House Junction of Governors Road, three men emerged at that time and took two motorcycles. One of them fell from the motorcycles after it was struck by a car while they were riding it.

“The person who fell was instantly lynched by a crowd of locals. The two others managed to escape the area, but they were apprehended by some persons who had been pursuing them since the robbery.
