Letter to his excellency Gov, Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman on review of tertiary education fees by Abdullateef Abdullahi Togun

Dear Governor AbdulRazaq Abdulrahman,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you as a concerned resident of Kwara State, specifically from Gambari, Ilorin East. I would like to draw your attention to the current economic situation in our country, which has had a profound impact on the affordability of tertiary education in our state.

As you are aware, the recent removal of fuel subsidies and the subsequent economic challenges have affected many individuals and families across the nation. One area where these effects are particularly evident is the payment of tuition fees for tertiary institutions. The rising costs of education have become a burden for numerous students and their families, hindering their access to quality education.

I would like to bring to your attention the recent decision made by the Kaduna State government to reduce tuition fees for tertiary institutions in their state. This step was taken to alleviate the financial strain that students and families are facing due to the prevailing economic conditions. Such a compassionate action has been widely appreciated, and I believe it is imperative for our state to implement a similar reduction in tuition fees.

Kano state government also put effort in place to pay registration fees for all Kano state indigene to ease the burden raise by their people.

By reducing the tuition fees for state-owned tertiary institutions in Kwara State, we can help alleviate the financial burden on students and their families. This step would not only support the pursuit of education but also ensure that the negative impact of the fuel subsidy removal and economic clampdown is minimized.

I understand that governing a state involves numerous considerations and challenges, but I implore you to give this matter careful thought and consideration. I firmly believe that by reducing the tuition fees for state-owned tertiary institutions in Kwara State, you would be taking a vital step towards ensuring that education remains accessible to all deserving students, regardless of their financial backgrounds.

I give kudos to our workaholic and amiable governor on palliative given to the students and others effort put in places to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal and economic situation in the state.

Thank you for your attention to this matter sir, and I remain hopeful that you will take the necessary measures to address the concerns raised. Your thoughtful consideration and action will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of the students and families affected by the current economic conditions.

Yours sincerely,

Abdullateef Togun writes from Gambari ilorin east local government of kwara state.
