Man Gets Hit By Stray Bullets As Ogun Customs Operatives Chase Smugglers On Motorcycles
As a matter of fact,the sad scenario occurred on Saturday,after which the locals journalists discovered that the Customs officers were on the hunt for alleged smugglers who were spotted transporting foreign bags of rice in motorcycles through Ifedapo village.
Evidently,the walls of the victim’s residence were apparently perforated with used bullet when the community’s police officers arrived on the location of the incident as it was also stated that the policemen reportedly took some of the expended bullets as evidence.
Additionally,as disclosed by Dairo when narrating his ordeal to news reporters, he was unwinding and receiving fresh air in the front of his apartment when he sustained bullet wounds.
He stated,“I was relaxing in front of my house on Saturday when a Customs Hilux van sped through our village in their bid to catch smugglers.Some of the villagers started shouting at them because children were playing around, and at that speed, there could be an accident”.
