Man Is Executed By Hanging By Court Order For Killing A Motorcyclist
According to Newscrescent, Ajakaiye Toying has been sentenced to death by hanging after being found guilty of the murder of commercial motorcyclist Afe Omonyi at Agbado/Ode Ekiti.
The dead was taken by the bike driver from Agbado, Ekiti, to his farm along the Ode, Ekiti route, according to information collected by news reporters, for a pre-agreed transportation price of N150.00.
But as soon as they got to the farm, the prisoner gave the Okada man 200 naira and requested 100 naira in change. Instead of complying, the Okada man offered the deceased fifty brand-new naira.
Following a battle, the inmate ultimately killed the Okada guy by smothering him a rope around his neck and strangled him to death. He then placed the man’s body in a small grave that he had dug.
To prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was guilty, the Director of Public Prosecutions, Julius Ajibare, who was in charge of the State’s case prosecution, called four witnesses and provided seven exhibits.
