Man pulls out a gun at policemen after wraps of Indian hemp, other hard drugs were found in his shop

A man who pulled a gun at policemen and threatened to shoot them after some substances suspected to be hard drugs were found in his shop and was eventually disarmed has been arrested by the operatives of the Niger State Police Command, the command announced on Monday, November 14.
The man, whose name was given as Chinedu Makata, aged 34 years old, was arrested by the police operatives attached to Bangi Division when they were said to have raided his shop in Bangi, Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State, following a tip-off.
It was gathered that during the raid by the policemen, 47 wraps of substance suspected to be Indian hemp and some other hard drugs were said to have been recovered from the shop.
However, in the process of effecting the arrest of the man, he was said to have pulled out a locally-made gun and threatened to shoot the police operatives for coming to raid his shop.
According to a statement by the state police command through its Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, and posted on the Facebook wall of the command on Monday, he was later disarmed and arrested by the police team while the gun and the hard drugs were recovered from him.
According to the statement, he has given some information to the police while he is expected to be arraigned in court for prosecution,
