MO’BRIMAH Foundation Funds Students Education Till their Secondary Graduation

Mo’brimah Foundation is one of the leading foundations in Kwara State that is committed to ensuring a quality education that reaches all, most especially, vulnerable people at the grassroots level. Their projects are reminiscent of their commitment.
The foundation’s passion towards education and swiftness in executing projects has inspired Miss Feyikemi Olajide Esther, a corp member serving in the Ilorin south part of Kwara State to decide that her community project will be focused on “Education for the Less Privileged Child”.

According to Esther, “in Mo’brimah foundation they believe that every child has an inalienable right to good and quality basic education, however, many children are being denied this right for unknown reasons. These kids are frequently seen working odd jobs or hawking along the road, which prevents them from attending school”.
Hence, in view of this shared passion, the Mo’Brimah foundation on the 18th of October, 2022 decided to pursue this course and felt it appropriate to offer scholarships to students in Ilorin by starting with United Community Junior Secondary School located at Unity road, Ilorin South local government area of Kwara state.
The scholarship was both need-based and academic excellence based. A selection process was carried out and Students who excelled in their academics but are suffering from financial constraints were rewarded with an academic scholarship in the form of payment of their school fees from their current classes till the completion of their secondary education.
This project serves as a modification of the foundation’s previous act of paying for an academic session to when they finish secondary school. With this, they believe that their long-time pursuit of SD Goals 4 (Quality Education) will be reiterated and leave an indelible mark by helping the people build a literate and productive community.
