Mohbad: Court sends nurse, friend back to custody

On Monday, the 37-year-old auxiliary nurse Fisayo Ogedengbe, who had been detained by the police in relation to the contentious death of hip-hop musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, was returned to detention by the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba.
It was said that the late singer died as a result of injections given by the nurse.
Similarly, Mohbad’s buddy Ayobani Sadiq, who is also being held as a suspect in the case, was ordered to be returned to police custody by magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun.
Nonetheless, the magistrate granted N20 million in bail to Mohbad’s former boss, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and a Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, commonly known as Sam Larry. Both individuals were also charged with Mohbad’s murder and were apprehended by the police on October 6.
The defendants (Naira Marley and Sam Larry) are hereby granted bail in the amount of N20 million with three responsible sureties in similar quantity, awaiting the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution’s legal advice,” the magistrate said.
Furthermore, one of the sureties needs to be a landowner. The defendants must turn in their passports and appear weekly at the State Criminal Investigation Department in order to be released from custody.
Olatunbosun additionally cautioned against direct communication over the subject.
She continued, “Any attempt to get in touch with me directly will be noted and possibly revealed in public court proceedings.
Since the police claim that the crime is still being investigated, Olatunbosun postponed the DPP hearing until November 29.
