MOK says mother’s passing is Allah’s will, appreciates condolences

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and condolences we’ve received following the passing of my beloved mother, Alhaja Sariyu Aduni Okunlola. Her departure on the early morning of March 21, 2023, came after a brief illness, and while we are deeply saddened by this loss, we firmly believe it is the will of Allah.
In these challenging times, our family finds solace and strength in our faith. My mother lived a life of simplicity and grace, and her legacy is evident in the way she treated everyone as if they were her own children. She nurtured and supported countless individuals in our community, and her kindness will be sorely missed.
I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has reached out with messages of comfort and support. Your prayers, kind words, and gestures of love have been a source of great strength for me and my family during this challenging period. I am particularly grateful to the traditional and religious leaders who have shown their support, including the Chief Imam of Offa, Shaikh Muhideen Salman, who has provided spiritual guidance.
Additionally, I want to acknowledge the efforts of the Executive Chairman of Offa Local Government, Hon. Suleiman Olatunji, and the Speaker of the legislative arm of the Local Government, Hon. Sharon, along with Hon. JK and Hon. Adato, for their kind words and support. The management of Lens Institutions and the founder of Sobi FM, Alhaji Olayiwola Mustapha, have also been incredibly supportive, as have the local market traders and the Offa Descendants Union.
To all our friends, family, and media practitioners who have stood by us and offered their condolences, your compassion has made a significant difference in helping us accept this difficult reality. We are truly grateful for your presence and assistance during this time of mourning as we honor my mother’s memory and celebrate her life. Thank you all for being there for us.
