N130 million worth of property is destroyed by a tanker fire, and the service blame Gas station

At Chab filling station, across from Star Paper Mill, Umuatako, Aba, in Abia State, a tanker carrying 33,000 liters of Premium Motor Spirit caught fire on Thursday, damaging property valued more over N 130 million.
According to a filling station employee who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria under the condition of anonymity, the fire broke out about midday and didn’t be extinguished until around two in the afternoon by members of the Abia State Fire Service from both the Aba and Umuahia stations.
Mr. Arua Nnanna, the state’s chief fire officer, said the disaster could have been prevented. He claimed that the service had instructed proprietors of gas stations to always discharge their products when the sun’s heat is not intense. He stated, “I had to deploy two trucks from our Aba station at Constitution Crescent after receiving a distress call in Umuahia informing me that there was a fuel tanker fire in Aba.
