NEHIH appoints Muhammed Brimah as Board President

The Northeast Humanitarian Innovation Hub and Foundation (NEHIH), a non-profit championing social innovation in conflict zones, has named Muhammed Brimah as President of its Governing Board.
Brimah brings a wealth of experience in designing and implementing social programs, honed through various roles at the state and federal levels. Notably, according to a NEHIH press release, he played a key role in establishing the organization itself. The release, signed by Vanessa Nyingifa-Williams, NEHIH’s Operations Manager, highlighted Brimah’s “pivotal contribution” in convening stakeholders like the ICRC and the American University of Nigeria during NEHIH’s creation.
Brimah’s resume boasts additional achievements. From 2020 to 2022, he served as General Manager of Kwara State’s Social Investment Programme, where he designed and implemented programs empowering vulnerable populations and young entrepreneurs. He also served as a special assistant to the President on Job Creation, playing a key role in the nationwide N-Power program.
NEHIH is confident that Brimah’s diverse experience in entrepreneurship, job creation, and social welfare makes him the ideal leader to guide the organization towards even greater impact. NEHIH co-founder, Mary Igbazua, expressed her enthusiasm in a statement: “We are thrilled to welcome Muhammed Brimah as the president of our Governing Board.” Brimah himself echoed this sentiment, stating his honor in “contributing to NEHIH’s mission of driving social impact in conflict-affected communities.”
With Brimah at the helm, NEHIH is poised to make significant strides in empowering communities and fostering social innovation across conflict-stricken regions.
