Nwabali emerges penalty hero as Chippa United qualify for Nedbank Cup semis

Stanley Nwabali, the goalie for Chippa United, saved his team’s bacon in the penalty shootout, sending them to the Nedbank Cup semifinal.

Nwakali led his South African team to a 2-0 victory over TS Galaxy by keeping a spotless record.

After Chippa defeated them 1-0, they were given a penalty.

But Nwabali, who exhibited comparable abilities at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, once again showed off his agility by turning away Pogiso Sanoka from a distance of 12 yards.

A stoppage-time penalty from Roscoe Heinrich allowed Chippa United to extend their lead.
