Osun govt orders recovery of official vehicles from Oyetola’s appointees

The Osun State Government has ordered the return of official vehicles that were taken by political appointees during the Adegboyega Oyetola administration.
The state government released a White Paper on Thursday that included this directive.
The governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, signed a statement claiming that the white paper also instructed the formation of a task team to retrieve government cars that had been taken by Oyetola administration personnel.
The statement reads, “The state of Osun has released six white papers today, five of which are on different committees that looked into issues brought up by the executive orders issued by His Excellency, Senator (Dr.) Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke at the administration’s inception in November 2022, as well as White paper on the Education Summit.
Following additional scrutiny by a special committee led by Governor Adeleke, White Papers that had previously been authorized by the State Executive Council were eventually certified in accordance with the Governor’s pledge to uphold due process, consultation, and adherence to the law.
The Chieftaincy Matters Committee, the Contracts/MOU/Agreements review Committee, the Solid Minerals Committee, the Assets Inventory and Recovery Committee, the Staff Audit / Appointments/Promotions review Committee, and the Education Summit white paper are among the white papers that were authorized.
“A task force has been established by the government to retrieve government vehicles that were taken by Adegboyega Oyetola administration officials.”
