PDP crisis: I have no issue with Atiku, Iyorchia Ayu must resign – Wike
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has stated that he has nothing against Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate.
Despite the fact that Atiku won the PDP presidential nomination, Wike claimed he has no animosity against the former vice president.
When he met with several state chieftains in Port Harcourt, the state’s capital, to celebrate his 55th birthday, he gave a speech.
However, the governor emphasized that the North’s resignation as the party’s national chairman is the only way to resolve the problem inside the PDP.
Iyorchia Ayu had been the National Chairman of the PDP, but Wike and his G-5 group want him out.
They emphasized that the party’s national chairman and presidential candidate cannot be produced in the North.
Wike and his supporters pushed for the National Chairman to be assigned to the South of the nation.
I have no issues with our presidential candidate, Wike asserted. All I’m asking is, what do the people of Rivers want? What do the South and South-South have in common?
The governor added that he had never looked back on his decision to run for the party’s presidential nomination.
I have no regrets about running for president. I’m honored to represent Rivers State with pride in the name of God. As far as I’m concerned, I’m content. I would have won the election if they had permitted it to go as planned. It has taken place.
Some people claimed that it doesn’t matter because I lost the election. I won the election. This is my first attempt to run for president of Nigeria, and we had an impact, he continued.
