PWKY3.0: Team GodFather Secures Treble as kwara youths witnessed funfair

Kwara youths enjoyed a fun-filled event on the eve of the new year, “Play With Kwara Youths” a tournament that includes all youths in the state.

The event’s goal was to bring young people together and promote harmonious coexistence without regard to political affiliation.

Play With Kwara Youths, PWKY 3.0 was held at Sports Turt, Unilorin Gate. Prominent politicians were among those led to the location by Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi.

Other notable mentions are former commissioner for works Hon, Rotimi Ilyas who also represent the eventual winner team God father led Barrister Rufai Ahmed.

Table tennis, Ludo, and football competitions were held at PWKY so that participants may display their abilities in a welcoming environment.

Yusuf Mutiu Olaitan, the convener of Play With Kwara Youths, made this available to Newscrescent media, he congratulated Kwarans for accepting the concept of PWKY with open minds and expressed hope that the event will continue to promote peace and harmony among Kwara youths.

According to him, the third edition’s success is a symbol of harmony and healthy rivalry among young people.

The organizers were commended by Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, for uniting young people from all ethnic and political backgrounds throughout the holiday season.

The Honorable Speaker additionally stands in for Team Otukoko, who was led by PDP Chieftain Engineer Otukoko Olayinka Ibrahim and who ultimately finished last on the log.

With six teams competing, Team Godfather won the football game, and Team CB won the table tennis competition because to Jawondo’s outstanding performance.

During the trophy presentation to team God father, Kwara State Commissioner for Youth Development, Nafisah Buge, reiterated that PWKY fosters camaraderie and unity among the state’s youth, regardless of their political affiliation or background.

The awarding of N20,000 in cash awards to the winners of ten categories, sponsored by Senator Mallam Saliu Mustapha of the Kwara Central Senatorial district, was the event’s high point.

Among the famous sponsors of the event were Alhaji Hakeem Lawal, a contender for the SDP governorship; Hon. Yakub Danladi, speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly; business mogul Kehinde Alex Bankole; and Barrister Rufai Ahmed, Godfather.
