The 2022 FIFA World Cup started with a poor decision by the VAR after disallowing Ecuador’s brilliant goal in the opening minute of the game. It was a brilliant performance from the South American country after an entertaining first 10 minutes game.

A lot of fans has questioned the VAR decision that cancelled Valencia goal in the 3rd minutes of the game. The Ecuador captain capitalized on the opponents error but the VAR decision was offside.
From the review of the goal, Qatar goal keeper mistake lead to the goal and the goal should have stand because he made contact with the ball before it was crossed to Valencia.
The center Referee and the Assistant Referee gave the goal but after the review from the VAR, it was cancelled.
