Rukayat Shittu inspects Kusi Collapsed Bridge in Asa
Provides cash support for community
The All Progressives Candidate for Owode Onire Constituency in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu on Tuesday during a consultation visit to Kusi village of Okeweru/Yowere II ward in her constituency, announced cash support to aid the construction of the village bridge which collapsed due to the heavy downpour.
The Candidate, which arrived in the village with delegations from the neighboring villages like Alapete, Alajere, Banni Elegusi, Alaro, Alapete, Apata, Saaka, and Romi was welcomed amidst cheerfulness by the people of Kusi village.
Receiving Rukayat, the Magaji of Kusi village, Alhaji Saliu Salimon Oba Isegun noted that her coming happens to be the right time.
He commended her tenacity and vowed that the people of the village will deliver the candidate in the 2023 elections.
Alhaji Saliu further lauded Governor AbdulRahman for extending his good gesture to the village, he appreciated the construction of nearby schools, stating that his work is everywhere.
Speaking during the visit, the Magagi seek for the candidate’s intervention on the collapsed bridge that link the village with other neighboring villages.
Responding to the request, Rukayat donated cash support to the village to aid the construction. She commended their focus and determination for holding Governor AbdulRahman’s mandate in high esteem.
