She’s not our member – Aba NBA on “Baddest Lawyer” Ifunanya
Ifunanya Excel Grant, also known online as “Baddest Lawyer,” is a controversial Nigerian attorney and social media personality. The Aba section of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has refuted accusations that she is a member.
Innocent O. Egwu, an attorney, and Mazi K.C. Okoro, the branch chairman and secretary of the NBA in Aba, signed the statement on Tuesday.
In the interest of accuracy, we would like to say unequivocally that Miss Ifunanya Excel Grant is not a member of the NBA, Aba Branch, and that the NBA, Aba Branch is not aware of her.
We must ask that painstaking efforts be taken by officers concerned to ensure that innocent and law-abiding practitioners are not unintentionally held out in a negative light to the public, even though we support every effort made by our great association, the NBA, to purge the legal profession of the few bad eggs.
This comes after calls for Ifunanya to be prosecuted for inappropriate social media behavior involving substance misuse and revealing photographs and videos led to allegations attributing her NBA membership to the Aba Branch.
