Subsidy removal: Gov Sule justifies N8,000 palliative

According to Abdullahi Sule, the governor of Nasarawa State, the N8,000 palliative provided by the federal government will lessen the impact of the elimination of fuel subsidies on Nigerians.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, the governor said that for many poor families in the nation who seldom receive such a sum in a month, N8,000 is a sizeable sum.
He recalled how they used to just give out N5,000 as palliatives, and he noticed that many people relied on the N5,000.
He emphasized that many households relied on it to enrich their lives, and he added that some communities had even pooled resources and had a significant effect in their neighborhoods.
So, N8,000 may not seem like a lot of money to some people, but it is a lot to so many other people who are from very poor families that don’t see N8,000 every month
So, the only thing is that let us identify those families.”
