Subsidy removal: We are aware of your economic challenges – FG to Nigerians

The federal government has asserted once more that the Tinubu administration is fully aware of the financial difficulties that Nigerians have encountered since the elimination of the gasoline subsidy and the effects of the global economic crisis.
George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, stated this on Monday in Abuja during a global press conference to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of Nigeria’s independence.
Akume asserted that the government is assiduously striving to offer the required palliatives to lessen the difficulties.
He claimed that in order to address issues of concern for the welfare of all Nigerian workers, the government was working with organized labor.
This is why the government is relying on the Renewed Hope Agenda, which will boost food security, ensure an end to poverty, improve security, promote economic growth and the creation of jobs, increase access to capital, level the playing field for people and businesses in particular, uphold the rule of law, and combat corruption, he said.
He continued by saying that, in keeping with the current economic situation, the President has approved of keeping our country’s 63rd anniversary of independence low-key.
