Tinubu celebrates Sultan of Sokoto at 67

On Wednesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated His Eminence Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, Sultan of Sokoto, and the Sokoto Sultanate Council in honor of the renowned royal father and spiritual guide of Nigerian Muslims’ upcoming 67th birthday on August 24, 2023.
According to a statement made by Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu’s special assistant for media and publicity, he and the head of the Qadiriyya Sufi order enjoyed this happy and grateful occasion.
He recognized the sacrifices and selflessness made by the Sultan of Sokoto, who has worked tirelessly since taking office in November 2006 to maintain peace in the nation.
The Sultan’s generosity, warmth, and neighborly view on life were praised by the President. He was commended in particular for using every chance to spread awareness of the advantages of amity in society and for creating forums for promoting Nigeria’s unity, such as by establishing the Peace Accord for elections while serving on the National Peace Committee.
The President was certain that his extensive experience would continue to be a benefit for the nation’s steady progress in overcoming religious, racial, and cultural barriers.
President Tinubu prayed for the Sultan of Sokoto to live for many more years in health, strength, and wisdom.
