Trend Between FG & ASUU Strike: Nigeria At The Peak of Extinction

Just like the way a teacher teaches a pupil at the elementary level from when he could not get his first letter ”A” right —same way the FG and others who attended Nigerian Federal Universities were taught by Lecturers who jointly represented what we called ASUU, today.

If FG can sit entirely comfortable in the Aso-Rock while the Nigerian students are at home without hope of resuming SCHOOL any time soon excluding the 6 months wasted (a whole academic session) then it becomes a bounding on us to remind FG that:

1. A country that puts education in the backyard of the house readies to put extinction to wear, certainly.

2. Without education, Nigeria cannot build again great minds like (Prof. Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, Ola Rotimi & other great intellectual people who serve as a great hope for the better future of our dear country, we can only be breeding criminals.

3. In his topic ”Why ASUU CASE SHOULD BE DIFFERENT” Mr. Nasir Abdulquadri, a _Human Capital Development Enthusiast_ also had this to say:

”The country is bleeding with this strike. The psychological effect on the students is bad._ They are beginning to see education as a SCAM due to the nonchalant attitude FG turns to education._(emphasis mine). This can lead to survival desperation and the country will pay heavily for it. Remember #ENDSARS was during the strike.”

4. Not paying ASUU their entire 6 months of withheld salaries is like hurting the people who made you who you are.

Nigeria is for EVERYONE—why is this government sending Nigerian students away from the classroom when in return we can only sit at home and celebrate their children on social media after finishing their schooling abroad— forgetting that ”all animals are equal”, why?Indeed, a country where government folds hands and begins to watch education deteriorate under its nose is already at the peak of extinction.
