UEL Super Eagles goalkeeper to face Ronaldo, Manchester United in Europa League
The draw for Europe’s second-tier competition was held on Friday with Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho set for a dream trip to Old Trafford.
Super Eagles goalkeeper number one goalkeeper Francis Uzoho will face English giant Manchester United in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
The draw for the 2022/2023 season was held on Friday afternoon with Uzoho’s Omonoia Nicosia drawn in Group E alongside the Red Devils.
Other teams in the group are La Liga side Real Sociedad while Sheriff Tiraspol completes the group pairing.
The Cypriot club sealed a place in the group stage after a 3-1 aggregate win over Belgian club KAA Gent on Thursday night.
Nigerian goalkeeper, Uzoho, was however an unused substitute in both games against Gent.
Elsewhere, France-based winger Moses Simon and his Nantes team will compete in Group F, while Raphael Onyedika’s Midtjylland is in Group F.
