Ukraine’s interior minister, 17 others die in helicopter crash

Denys Monastyrskyi, the interior minister of Ukraine, his deputy Yevhen Yenin, and Yurii Lubkovych, the ministry’s state secretary, perished in a helicopter crash on Wednesday near Kyiv.
18 people have died in total, including three children and government officials, according to Ukrainian authorities.
Ihor Klymenko, the head of the National Police of Ukraine, announced this, according to reports in the neighborhood press.
In the Brovary neighborhood of the Ukrainian capital’s east, an emergency services helicopter crashed. The helicopter carried nine fatalities.
Since the start of the conflict with Russia in February, Monastyrskyi was the most senior Ukrainian official to pass away.
Oleksii Kuleba, the governor of Kyiv Region, claimed that the three murdered kids were in the kindergarten facility.
The crash’s cause—whether it was an accident or related to the current conflict with Russia—remains unknown at this time. Recently, there have been no reports of combat in the Kyiv region.
29 individuals, including 15 children, were hurt in the collision, according to Kuleba.
Just before attending a meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Olena Zelenska, the first lady of Ukraine, was spotted with watery eyes and a pinched nose.
