We are united for Rukayat Shittu, Asa Vanguard declares

Says the blackmail of Governor AA must stop

Asa vanguard have observed with great disappointment, the continuous harassment of our young and vibrant candidate for Kwara State House of Assembly, under the All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon Rukayat Shittu by some regressive individuals who are bent dimming the bright star of Asa through consistent blackmail.

The selfish individuals are not only harassing Rukayat Shittu, but they are equally blackmailing the Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as a strategy to achieve their unholy aim.

Asa vanguard, an amalgamation of youth groups within Owode Onire constituency in APC maintained that, the members of the APC in Owode Onire, who are tired of the old ways of doing things entrusted their mandate to Rukayat Shittu and will no longer tolerate any blackmail or harassment.

“Rukayat is our candidate and we choose her to represent a new order in Asa”, Comrade Abdulrauph Ibraheem, who spoke on behalf of the group said

The group also stated that, governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is not part of those who elected Rukayat Shittu at the APC primary election and blackmailing the innocent governor will not change the fact that we have decided to choose Rukayat and on her mandate, we stand.

“We the APC members in Owode Onire decided to choose Rukayat Shittu in our efforts to change the face of politics in Asa and continuously dragging the governor’s name into a purely local affairs is not only a cheap blackmail, it is also an abuse of previlage”.

Although, we are aware that some people are abusing the governor’s kind and patient nature, despite being the greatest beneficiary of his magnanimity, but we are now saying enough is enough, Comrade Abdulrauph Ibraheem said.

Asa vanguard therefore threatens to expose all of those involved in this unholy agenda,if they do not desist. It maintained that, the harassment of Rukayat Shittu and blackmail of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq must stop.
